Many of Dr. DeVol's original patients ask what he has been doing with himself since he retired. Dr. DeVol still lives in Oswego and has been very active since his retirement in 1987. These days, he is more likely to be seen with a golf driver in his hands than a dental drill.

He and his wife Peggy have traveled much of the country, either on vacation or visiting their children. As many of you know, Dr. DeVol is an accomplished sailor, having spent many years navigating the shores of Lake Michigan. Lately though, he has been occupying his time with other interests.

Dr. DeVol is an excellent chef and can often be found at one of the local grocery stores, in search of special ingredients for his next gourmet creation. He is also an avid reader, with an impressive collection of books in his personal library. As a loyal University of Illinois alumnus, he still finds time to support the football team every fall.

He still drops by the office on occasion to offer some sage advise or reminisce about his days in practice. Dr. DeVol is indeed enjoying a very pleasant retirement.
