When you call to set up an initial appointment, let the front desk staff know what your chief concern is. We always attempt to address any problems or toothaches before proceeding with other treatment that may be necessary. If you do not have any specific dental concern, then it is usually best to schedule an appointment for a consultation and teeth cleaning and examination. At that time, one of the dentists will thoroughly check your teeth and gums, and determine if any additional information (such as dental x-rays) may be necessary to develop a treatment plan.
When you schedule your initial appointment, we will ask you to fill out several brief registration forms. These forms will be sent to you via text to fill out prior to your arrival so that you will not need to arrive early for your appointment. If you are unable to complete forms via text they will available for you to fill out in person prior to your appointment.
This will allow us to acquaint ourselves with you and attend to any special requests or conditions that you may have. Please come prepared to answer questions about your insurance coverage and/or medical history. Also, we ask that if you do not fill out the forms via text that you arrive 15 minutes early so that you will have plenty of time to fill out your registration paperwork. Parents should accompany any child under the age of eighteen for their first visit.
Please bring any x-rays or records that you may have from your previous dentist with you at that time. Though this information is useful to us, it’s not essential. We can assist you in arranging the transfer of any relevant records to our office at a later date.
If you have dental insurance, we will prepare, file and track your insurance claims for you. Please check with your insurance company to determine what treatment will or will not be covered at your initial visit. Once one of the Doctors examines your teeth and establishes a treatment plan, we can determine what your insurance company will pay for any specific dental treatment, and what your portion of the bill will be. Please contact our office if you have any questions about what your cost may be for first visit.
Your patient portion, including any co-payment or deductible if you have insurance, is due at the time of service. Our office accepts payment by cash, check and credit card. For patients with extensive treatment plans, we can offer several flexible and affordable financing options. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any questions about the cost of any proposed treatment or see Financing for more information.
