In-Office Membership Plan
Dental care is an integral part of a personal healthcare plan. Most adults (93%) say that oral health is at least as important as physical health to overall personal health.
At the same time, the cost of dental care – including for dental insurance with sometimes limited benefits – can remain prohibitive for some patients. According to a survey by the State of Oral Health Equity in America:
More than 68 million U.S. adults do not have dental insurance; 14 million more could lose dental coverage under Medicaid redetermination
Adults 60 and older are most likely to lack dental coverage
An American Dental Association study identified that when compared with other health services, dental care has the highest cost barriers for patients. According to the study, 13% of the population reported cost as a hurdle to dental care, while 4-5% noted it for other health services.
Citing information from a State of Oral Health Equity in America Survey, Dental Economics reported that 40% of adults without dental insurance reported cost as the reason they hadn’t visited the dentist in the past two years.

Individual Dental Plan
An individual dental plan allows patients with no or limited insurance to save money on important dental care such as periodic cleanings and check-ups, fluoride treatments, fillings and crowns. While a private dental plan is not insurance and does not replace full dental coverage, it can help keep proper care accessible and affordable.
Individual dental plans can be particularly useful for students and retirees (see statistic above), as well as those who have limited or no dental coverage through work, including self-employed people. Others who can benefit from private dental plans are those who have high-risk medical conditions or are in the midst of a big life change such as the loss of a job or the birth of a child.
Beyond discounting professional care, a dental treatment plan favors patients by offering:
no pre-authorization requirements
no claim forms and waiting periods for approval
no exclusions for pre-existing conditions (certain restrictions may apply)
no deductibles or lifetime coverage caps
tax deductibility
Oswego Dental Group’s Private Dental Plan
Our In-Office Membership Plan provides patients with discounted dental service so you can avoid having to pay the higher full cost of dental care out-of-pocket.
In addition to administering your dental treatment plan, we work closely with you to help you make your dental-service decisions. When you need help or more information, you don’t need to contact a third party about your plan: We assist you with your questions about plan coverage, discounts and changes to your coverage.
Because the plan is based on the direct patient-dentist relationship, you enjoy an immediate connection to your care. All services under your individual dental plan also are performed at our office. If we ever determine you would benefit from further treatment with a specialist not covered by the plan, we will continue to support and advise you in referring you to the proper professional within our relationship network.
Why a Dental Treatment Plan Is So Useful
If asked, most patients would agree that dental planning and financing are best made between them and their dentist. Including a third party can sometimes tend to limit and complicate a patient’s ability to acquire and pay for the care that’s needed.
We designed our In-Office Membership Plan to provide you and those close to you with affordable preventive dental coverage owned and managed by your dentist.
Beyond excellent preventive dentistry, the plan offers budget-friendly access to both basic and major dental procedures such as fillings, bridges and implants. It even helps with root canals, which some individual dental plans do not include.
How It Works & What’s Included
When you enroll in our In-Office Membership Plan, you can choose to pay a monthly membership fee as a single ($34), a couple ($64) or a family ($104).
Your membership automatically qualifies you for two free teeth cleanings & exams per year, as well as any check-up or diagnostic x-rays that may be needed. Plan members can receive up to $1,500 in total benefit discounts each year.
